Candlelight Christmas at Old South Church │ December 15, 8 p.m.

Boston — On December 15, Chorus pro Musica, under the direction of Jamie Kirsch, will shift the holiday spirit along Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue into high gear with the presentation of their annual holiday classic, “Candlelight Christmas at Old South.”

Old South Church in Boston’s Back Bay provides a glorious backdrop for the annual holiday event. The evening will feature the chorus singing both a cappella and accompanied by the church’s majestic Skinner organ in a program filled with holiday classics, new works and plenty of opportunities for the audience to sing along. The evening’s program includes, Shawn Kirchner’s “Brightest and Best,” Terry Halco’s “Christmas Eve,” Jocelyn Hagen’s “Deck the Hall,” Dan Forrest’s “See Amid the Winter’s Snow,” and Herbert Bittrich’s “Festejo de Navidad.”

A selection of traditional and well-loved carols will be included in the program and a grand finale that features “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night.” Tickets are $25 – $45, special $10 ‘under 30’ tickets available (in the $25 ticket tier). For more information, visit www.ChorusproMusica.org
