Chorus pro Musica took on George & Ira Gershwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “Of Thee I Sing,”— a hilarious political satire about a presidential campaign, a beauty pageant, corn muffins, unrequited love, and an international scandal. Featuring soloists, Margot Rood, Christina English, and David McFerrin. Stage direction by Matt McMahan. Music and Lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. Book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind.

OF THEE I SING CONCERT VERSION was presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied  by MTI

Arts Fuse: “Saturday’s performance was exceedingly well sung. CpM was consistently in fine voice, singing with robust tone, excellent blend, and terrific diction.”

Boston Classical Review: “The singing was crisp and clear and allowed for Ira Gershwin’s lyrics to induce laughs… The orchestra played Gershwin’s score with a buoyant quality, sounding with the pomp of a town band where appropriate. Matthew McMahan’s stage directions used the limited stage and floor space to tell a briskly moving and hilarious story to send listeners home with a spring in their step.”
